WHY MAREK KOWALSKI STARTED CONDUITFOLK ELECTRIC

Before launching Conduitfolk Electric in 2016 out of a two-bay garage near East Columbia Street, Marek Kowalski spent eight years bending rigid steel conduit and wiring motor-control cabinets along the Fraser River industrial waterfront.

When neighbours in Sapperton and Queen’s Park asked him to inspect their residential renovations, he kept seeing the same shortcuts: spaghetti romex bundled above drop ceilings, unlabelled split-bus panels, and homeowners told to gut entire heritage plaster rooms for a simple kitchen rewire.

Conduitfolk was built on one premise: bring industrial-grade conduit geometry, honest load calculations, and fixed-scope CAD pricing to residential and light-commercial work across New Westminster.

Born in Gdansk and raised in Sapperton, Marek spent eight years wiring sawmill controls and commercial boiler rooms along the Fraser River before starting Conduitfolk Electric in 2016. He treats residential breaker panels like industrial control cabinets: every conductor routed at 90 degrees, every bend measured twice, zero mystery splices left behind drywall.

Elias is the electrician other contractors call when a breaker trips every third Tuesday in the rain. He runs our Columbia Street rapid-response van, carrying thermal imaging gear, megohmmeters, and replacement lugs for almost every panel manufactured in BC since 1960.

Devon lives in a 1921 Uptown bungalow and knows every framing quirk of New Westminster's older housing stock. He maps joist bays with a borescope camera so homeowners get modern grounded copper circuits and crisp LED downlights without gutting heritage plaster.
